What is this board about?

This board is about the childfree, and the people who dont want kids, for whatever reason, or people who want to complain about bad parents, or annoying brats that have ruined your day.

There are many types of childfree or people who accept the Childfree way of life, and ALL are welcome here. This board is free from most censorship, anything can be said here, so long as it isnt a personal attack on anyone else.. if that happens the post will be deleted.

There are a few words that are deleted or changed via filters, the really bad words discriminating against people, like the N word etc.. and the anagram of UKCF, that becomes freak.. just little things like that.. nothing much, if you wish to know what words can and cant be said let me know and i will send them, if you think of any other words that need to be altered let me know and we will see.

If a person keeps breaking the very few rules we have, or keeps being intentionally inflammatory, or just can't control their bad self, the owner (ME) here do reserve the right to temporarily suspend, or permanently ban said member.

This board is for US, a community, there are no real rules about staying on topic, topics can wander to whatever, and if a post is old it doesnt mean you cant reactivate it with a post of your own, we dont care about how you speak, or type, if you use shorthand or not, so long as the message gets through, you can type however you wish (no grammar police).

Age of posts have no meaning here, amount of posts a person does has no meaning here, your first is as important as your 2000th.

Saying all this, all we can say is have fun, dont take stuff too seriously, relax, and rant or rave.. about anything you wish on topic, or off topic.

Specific questions.

What is the mission of this board?

This board exists to release the stresses of everyday living, by complaining about badly behaved kids, and badly behaved parents.

We feel that there is too much preferential treatment for some parents.

In some parts of the board we discuss equality, which is a large part of the rights of parents and the childfree, we have no real political axe to grind, we want everyone to be treated equally, regardless of sex, age, religion, race, childfree and childed status, rich or poor. EVERYONE should be treated equally, if there is any injustice it is up to us to fight it in our own way. By talking about it on here, or by talking to your politicians, or local councilors, from small acorns do mighty oaks do grow but as always how you do it is entirely upto you.

If your childfree doesn't that mean you hate children?

No not at all, we have people from every walk of life, from every group, race, religion, we have teachers, we have doctors, our one over riding idea is that we dont want kids of our own, and we complain about badly behaved kids and their parents. we dont want to be taken for granted to cover for work based discrimination (pro child). We even have parents posting on here, they like their own kids but hate everyone elses. Thats ok as well.

But who will take care of you when your old? But your/my kids will pay for your pension.

You can say the same thing for parents, who will look after them, not all kids want or care to look after their parents, by the time we are at pension age, there will be no pension at all, and anyway is having a child for financial reasons really a good idea.

But you will change your mind when you have one of your own.

No, we wont, we have thought long and hard about this subject, we all have our own reasons not to want kids, they can be very personal reasons, or they can be a more selfish reason, BUT they are our reasons.

Why the difference between childless and childfree?

The childfree have made a concious decision to not have children, the childless cant have children, some childless are childfree, the word childless, seems to denote you are missing something, whereas the childfree, seems to denote a freedom from something.

Why cant i swear?

You can, so long as its not a racial slur, or homophobic comments, we understand sometimes you need to vent and use swear words, and thats ok, so long as it isnt every other word.

I cant access my account?

There could be several reasons for this,

1. it could be a caps lock problem on your computer,
2. it could be a problem with the ukcf board
3. the board maybe down for maintenence
4. or your account may have been suspended
5. or you dont have an account with us.

WHAT? why is my account suspended?

1) you could have made comments about certain groups.
2) you could have used derogatory words about other members on this board.
3) you could have advertised a profit making personal board.
4) or some other unspecified reason.

A suspension of account is not taken lightly, it is only done as a last resort, but as always the board owners can and will take whatever steps needed to make the board peaceful. The temporary suspension will last 1 week, 3 temporary suspensions and the account will be deleted.

Isnt that a little draconian?

No, as we have explained this is our board, and as the owners we have a responsibility to ourselves, and to the other members, we generally let things slide we are relaxed like that, and we rarely use our moderator powers, BUT we are still moderators and board owners.

Why have guest areas then?

The guest areas, are there for people who wish to comment, yet they dont want to sign up or they want to remain anonymous, or want to say contraversial subject.

I disagree with someone on this board, what can i do?

Well you don't have to read their posts, you dont have to comment, we all have our own views, our own points of view, but respect that others have different viewpoints, some may see the trees and not the wood, some may see the bigger picture. Thats what makes us great our difference views on so many topics. Saying that, if someone is being intentionally inflammatory when replying to one or more poster, then certain acts will be done to make this board a more pleasant place. If you can argue your point of view without getting into the unpleasant insults, then argue, and discuss.

I haven't posted in years, is my account still active?

Yes. We dont delete dead accounts, unless we are asked too.

Your just a bully with all these guides and rules

Well no one if forcing you to read this board, if you disagree with us, fine, if you insult us, then why are you here. IF you can make a reasonable, logical argument without resorting to insults, then thats great, post and comment. BUT this is our board. If you dont like a Post or a Topic, then Dont read it.

I am having problems with the board, can you help? i am having problems with other sites can you help?

Yes, just post in guests off topic with your problem, and we will help if we can.

Who are the moderators? Who are the co owners?

I am the Board owner and main administrator, we have another moderator. When the board becomes bigger, will ask for applications for moderators.

To facilitate the free exchange of public opinion and at the same time monitor any potentially disruptive or undesirable input, a moderator has been appointed.

The moderator has the right to:

1) Refuse, or remove from the site, material submitted by a user which in the moderator's reasonable opinion tends to incite violence, racial hatred or intolerance against any group in our society, or which in the moderator's opinion may constitute a defamatory statement.

2) Contact, and/or cancel the registration of, any user who in the moderator's reasonable opinion has failed to observe, or is otherwise acting in a manner inconsistent with, the site

3) Edit, abridge, amend or otherwise alter any material submitted to the site for publication.

The views expressed on any other website/message board linked to from this board are not necessarily the full or entire views of the owners of the board and any links are provided for information purposes only.

ANY COMPLAINTS about the content of other sites (in their entirity or in part), should be addressed to the owner of THAT board.

The only exception to this is in the case of any site promoting, ANY illegal activity, and suitable actions will be undertaken.

Any comments or posts on any 3rd party websites reflect THIER opinions.

Addendum.

Screen Names:.. Screen names that promote violence towards children, or violence towards anyone, will be denied entry.. until that name is altered. We May not want children but we DO NOT condone violence towards them.

Dittos, Merc. I am sick of this movement being a haven for those who want to harm children! I never wanted to be a mother but abuse and killing of kids are things that make me ill. :-X

UPDATE::

a warning will be placed upon an account, if The board owners and moderators feel that the comments can lead to personal attacks.

at 100%, the account will be suspended for 1 week, as mentioned above.

We DO NOT want this board to descend into base insults as so many boards have become.

Update ::

Any bigotted comments about any race or religion, colour or creed, beleif or none WILL NOT be tolerated. We are all humans, we all deserve respect. Anyone breaking these rules will be dealt with
